Relationships and how they're developing

In response to something mactavish posted, I wrote

I don't have veto power with any of my partners--but if any of them said "I don't think that's a good idea" I'd ask why, and take it seriously. And I'd give them similar information, if I had it about someone that one of my partners were interested in: that's part of caring for each other.

Nothing odd in that--except that I started to write "cattitude or Q" and realized that at this point, the same consideration would apply to adrian_turtle. This is part of why I don't label my relationships as primary or secondary: they are what they are, and they change.

Money: impulses and good sense

I have a definite impulse to spend money, the last week or so. This may be connected to having paid off my credit cards.

Thus far, I think I'm channeling it in sensible ways: for example, I've expanded my order of joedecker's delightful holiday cards, and bought a hanging shoe bag, a thing I've needed for a while. I also bought some slippers just because they were purple, but they were also fairly cheap.

That was irritating

I'm buying some holiday cards from joedecker and wanted to use Paypal to pay for them.

I tried to log on to my Paypal account, and it insisted on sending me to the "I forgot my password" page no matter how many times I entered my existing password. So I went through that rigamarole, and was asked to reset my password. It wouldn't accept the previous password because it recognized it as my old password, after refusing to recognize it when I tried to use it to log in.

The right hand knoweth not what the right hand is doing.
