On my lunch break, after buying and eating a sandwich with enough stuff that half of it will probably be tomorrow's lunch, I poked around Google images, researching European geography and terminology for [livejournal.com profile] eve99. It turns out that defining the borders of either Silesia or Galicia is difficult, even once you've explained to Google that you mean the Galicia that's at least partly Polish, not the one in Iberia. My grandmother was a Galitzianer, not a Galician, but this may not be a distinction that can readily be translated into French.

We have a new coffee machine in the little lunchroom on this floor. I don't expect much from these devices, being a tea-drinker, but that the water it produced wasn't hot enough to brew green tea is annoying. Of course, it would be less annoying were I not underslept and possessed of a bit of a sore throat.

Also, my hands hurt: I've spent the last day and a half at work (also part of last week) copying and pasting stuff from one file to another: regardless of how useful this may be, or how tedious, it is physically as well as mentally repetitive.

I'm trying to figure out whether skipping tonight's workout would be a good or a bad idea in terms of my overall health and mood. Going to the gym would at least get me a hot shower, which my apartment was not capable of providing this morning (speaking of grumpiness).

I had a good time at the physical therapy; Larry is again, or still, pleased with my strength and range of motion, and when he asked me to rate my shoulder on a scale from 1 to ten, where ten=perfect, I said "eight or nine". Now it hurts; I've iced it and while that may have helped, it didn't remove the pain. Boredom I could handle, but this job/task may be too much for me physically.

It turns out that an effective way of getting me to lift weights is telling me that I probably shouldn't. (No, I don't think this was the intention, but thank you, [livejournal.com profile] adrian_turtle, love.) I did also do the cardio, as advised, and take a long hot shower when I was done.
