Send lawyers, guns and money: Dad, get me out of this.

Sorry to alarm anyone--this was supposed to go to [livejournal.com profile] statements.

I inadvertently alarmed my beloved [livejournal.com profile] adrian_turtle with my last post, which was meant to be a throwaway on another community.

Life is not all skittles and beer (which is okay, as I don't actually like either): I have an odd tingly pain in my left hand, and I'm having trouble sleeping even until the alarm, and then tired during the day. If I were waking up early and not tired, that would be okay.

They still haven't told me where I'm being moved to, though as of last afternoon my boss seems to have arranged that it will be somewhere with a computer.

I seem to have another food sensitivity, again a minor one. A coworker brought in some fresh figs, and I ate one. Not quite as good as my first-ever fresh fig, picked up off the sidewalk just after it fell from the tree, still ripe. A few minutes later, my tongue was itching. It felt similar to the not-quite-ripe-kiwifruit reaction, and this fig may not have been ripe. Avoiding fresh figs won't be a great hardship: I went most of my life without them, and haven't craved them since trying them. Ah, well.

I just spoke to my boss.

Everything is under control, I will be appropriately situated next week. But they can't or won't tell me yet where. The fallback plan is for me to label my crates--when I get them--with her name and new location, and my computer with my name, c/o her.

Sometimes orange-filled oreos hold out a misleading claim that they will be comforting. It didn't work. I need to do a quick lower-body-only workout this evening.

I have a location.

It's near where I am now, and near where my boss is.

It's also smaller and with nothing resembling a view or a window. I shall have to bring in decoration or such, I guess.

We took the battery from [livejournal.com profile] cattitude's old cell phone, put it in my cell phone (identical model), and it's working fine. Cattitude was surprised--he'd given up that phone because the battery ran down annoyingly fast, and thought that the problem with mine, post-spill, was probably with the phone itself, not the battery.

Also, since [livejournal.com profile] adrian_turtle dropped me a note about this, while I do have a few numbers programmed into my cell phone, they're all--along with quite a few others--stored in my PDA.
