Le Guin's statement about the film that claims to be based on her books begins " I've tried very hard to keep from saying anything at all about this production, being well aware that movies must differ in many ways from the books they're based on, and feeling that I really had no business talking about it, since I was not included in planning it and was given no part in discussions or decisions.

That makes it particularly galling of the director to put words in my mouth."

I am achy in assorted low-level but cumulatively very annoying and distracting ways. ( cut for everyone's sake )

Some things have gotten done, notably the current batch of freelance proofreading, but I have an apa deadline tomorrow, copyediting to do, and I'm still in my pajamas.

On the positive side, cattitude just walked in the door.
