I've just made myself a lovely pot of camomile and limeflower tea, which is sitting on the stöchen, and I have the room lit by candlelight.

Of course, this is more of a nightly ritual than a seasonal one; I like tea and candles.

You are, of course, welcome to join me any night you happen to be out on Long Island (at some point after I get back from the UK).

What's a stöchen?

Urg, my bad. Stövchen. Basically, a tea-warmer; it's a stand that you place your teapot atop, with a tealight underneath. The flame keeps the pot nice and warm while you drink your tea.

Ah. Thanks for that extra 'v', I think I could have winkled out the meaning of "little stove", but without it I was confused.
