"Shelly Fisher," if that's her real name, at "BostonWomenLeaders.com," ignores all requests to remove me from her mailing list:

I somehow got on her email list, a while ago. I have spent the last couple of years trying to get off that list. Repeatedly, "Shelly Fisher" sends me a "follow-up" email, I write back and say something like "I'm not interested, take me off your list" or "unsubscribe," and the next email quotes that "unsubscribe" or READ THE MESSAGES you are replying to," and then advertises about some upcoming event.

A few weeks ago, I found their website, which has a chat function. I talked to someone who said she'd take me off their list, allow three days. This morning, they sent me another one.

In the most recent round of chat, we have:

Me: Can you check whether vr@redbird.org is on her list. please.
Barbara:Yes I can
Email/domain already in the blocked list.
Me:I have it configured to forward to vr@panix.com. and normally Thunderbird shows that it was sent to redbird.org
Barbara:redbird.org Email now removed (please allow 3 days to take effect).

[end chat]

So, was that address already off their list, or will it take three days, or three years? Adrian just reminded me that I can block the domain, which I just did. *sigh*

I've now had a second round of lots and lots of anonymous comment spam in a week, so only registered users can comment (at least for now). Apologies to all honest anons who aren't interfering with communications to sell crap to strangers in random languages I can't read.
