anonymous commenting is off

I've now had a second round of lots and lots of anonymous comment spam in a week, so only registered users can comment (at least for now). Apologies to all honest anons who aren't interfering with communications to sell crap to strangers in random languages I can't read.

That sucks. I usually have anon comments set to screen by default because someone used anon comments back in the LJ days to insult a friend of mine, but once I've read a thing I don't mind either deleting or unscreening.

My default was also to screen anons and then usually allow the comments after looking at them; I hope to go back to that in a bit. I also have it set to email me comment notifications, which makes it really annoying to get dozens of anon spam comments in twelve hours. (I want the notifications more than I want to allow anon comments, if I can't have both.)

I have them filtered into their own box so they don't clutter my main mailbox and I can easily deal with them in bulk if I need to.
