possible good news

I got an email this morning from a fannish friend, asking if I'd be interested in a research job. I wrote back, saying "Yes, what would it involve?" I think it was sent last night, and my reply probably hasn't been read yet--but not only would actual interesting work be a good thing, but it is definite egoboo to have someone writing to ask whether I want work.

On the opportunity, I won't know until tomorrow at least. Either way, egoboo.

And yes, the heat has broken: it was 21 C according to the bank sign when I was walking up Broadway an hour ago.
