It appears I have bronchitis.

I have (and have filled) a prescription for zithromax, an antibiotic. It's a five-day course, and I just took the first day's dose. I also got more cough syrup (the dextromethorphan/guaifenesin combo).

Separately, I have a prescription/referral to get my shoulder X-rayed, since the week of ibuprofen didn't fix things.

It turned out to be pneumonia?

Hope you're feeling better soon.

*hugs* I can understand if you are tired of it, and tired of venting, perhaps, but I hope not giving up on people who'd want to know, so that they (we) had a chance to wish you better.

I'm glad to hear that it hasn't turned the corner into pneumonia -- sounds like you got there before it did.

It's awful being sick this time of year, when it's so pretty outside. Hang in there!

Our rats view Zithro as a treat. It also works very, very well on them. I hope that the same can be true for you.

The last time I had bronchitis it required a two-week course of antibiotics, and I was sternly abjured to go home and pull the covers up to my chin lest I progress to pneumonia. Some things do improve.

I hope you feel better very soon.

Concerned for you, not tired of hearing about it.

Glad it's just bronchitis and that you have drugs for it.

Advice about Zithromax: Take acidophilus (oh, I can't spell that word) while taking it. You'll see why.

Get well soon! Zith and guaifenisin is always what docs seem to prefer to prescribe when I have bronchitis too... I hope you have as good experience as I usually do! Zith is also is nice and light, which is perfect for long-distance hiking. And it doesn't rattle! You see where my priorities are...

Hope it works quickly and effectively and you are back all healthy soon! *HUG*

* and I agree with beginning... eat lots of the plain yogurt! Though I always seem to have to follow a course of Zith with a 3-day Monistat chaser... I hope that's just my body being annoying and not par for the course!

this has been a crappy year for respiratory stuff in so many of my friends. I'm glad you have a diagnosis and hope that the antibiotics get you back to your regular self soon.

Releived it's only bronchitis, sorry you're sick, get well quickly!
