Exercise and food (ingredients, mostly)

I got up and out early this morning, and lifted lots of weights. Then I went down to Village Apothecary and bought two tubes of toothpaste (because they're the only place I can find that carries the particular toothpaste I like), and then to Sahadi, where I got lots of dried fruit, tea, nuts, spices, and such. I used to get out of there for around $20, almost every visit; today I spent $29. Cheese and chocolate don't come cheap. But I have sea salt, and the ingredients for chocolate-ginger cakelings (I'm going to taste this "French vanilla" chocolate, and if it seems plausible, bake with it.)

With all that, I think I'll stay in the rest of the day, not head out again to meet roadnotes and other friends at the piano bar tonight.

Exercise details:

My forearms were a bit sore this morning, so cattitude suggested I do more reps at a lower weight, advice that I appled on the bench press and adjustable row.

Cardio, 33 minutes, top heart rate 154. (I chatted a minute with one of the trainers, who seemed amused but not surprised that my heart rate drops when I read while exercising.)

What sort of toothpaste is it? I'm hooked on a brand (Parodontax) I've only been able to find overseas, so I'm always alert to the possibility of it being sold in the US.

It's Tom's of Maine cinnamint. Most places around here, if they carry the brand at all, only have the various mints, maybe fennel, and if you're really lucky the strawberry or orange-mango children's flavors.

I don't like mint. That rules out most of the toothpastes on the market, which is how I wound up trying and liking this one. I also don't like fennel.
