I got up and out early this morning, and lifted lots of weights. Then I went down to Village Apothecary and bought two tubes of toothpaste (because they're the only place I can find that carries the particular toothpaste I like), and then to Sahadi, where I got lots of dried fruit, tea, nuts, spices, and such. I used to get out of there for around $20, almost every visit; today I spent $29. Cheese and chocolate don't come cheap. But I have sea salt, and the ingredients for chocolate-ginger cakelings (I'm going to taste this "French vanilla" chocolate, and if it seems plausible, bake with it.)
With all that, I think I'll stay in the rest of the day, not head out again to meet
roadnotes and other friends at the piano bar tonight.

My forearms were a bit sore this morning, so
