Should I wear my new pearls to a morning wedding? Or maybe the fancy amethyst-and-silver-bead jewelry?

These things were easier before my friends started making good jewelry.

Twilight's beacons definitely come along on this trip, but they don't go with either necklace.

Are the pearls white or do they have color? cultured or freshwater? My feeling is that a person has fewer opportunites to were pearls than amysthests, but that's just me.

It's not the classic strand of pearls: it is (according to the handwritten card) freshwater pearls, sterling silver, and mother-of-pearl. I was hanging out with Elise as she packed up at Wiscon, and this caught my eye, and (via P2C2E) had more cash in my pocket than was good for me, and Elise's friends'/con prices are reasonable, meaning not that extravagant for a non-jewelry-wearing person like me, and it came home with me. And she'll be at the wedding.
