I just made a carefully timed trip to Harvard Square, mostly to buy ice cream, and also to get dry-mouth spray at the CVS in Harvard Square. [I prefer the CVS/Bartell's generic to the Biotene it's a generic of, because the generic is less minty.]
Carefully timed: there were very few other passengers on the 73 bus, in either direction. I walked to the back and opened some of the bus windows, in addition to the ones that were already open.
Most of the other passengers on those buses were also masked, which was a pleasant surprise, since they're no longer required. I didn't expect to be the only person with a mask, but I also wasn't expecting there to be only one unmasked passenger on the outbound bus. I saw more unmasked people walking through the Harvard Square subway station, or waiting for other buses.
I was amused by one passenger on the bus home. She got on the bus and headed to the seats. The driver got her attention, and she said "right, mask," and put one on. Then he got her attention again, to pay her fare--until last month, fares on the outbound 71 and 73 were collected on exiting, not entering, the bus.
I'm still not getting on a rush hour 77 bus--but I wasn't doing that last week, when masks were required.

She apparently does not believe in the entire job of the CDC and wants to shut them down, according to some interviews she has been giving in Right Wing Press. This is an extreme over reach of judicial power, to say the least.
I am still not taking the T currently. I am trying to get more exercise walking range so I can get from where I live to the Mt Auburn Hospital, where my GP office is, as I have a physical next month (which will be the first one since very early 2020 just before the pandemic).
