An old LiveJournal tradition, the first sentence of my first post of each month this calendar year. Nothing terribly interesting here, for better or worse:
Looking back through this journal, the new foods for 2019 were two fruits: a persimmon and some camu-camu flavored soda.
(first trip to new fitness room:)
That's "new" to me, not newly constructed: I walked over to the Beech Street Center and used the fitness room, for a little while: about five minutes on the cardio bike, three of the exercise machines, and did one of my PT exercises with seven-pound weights.
The World Health Organization is issuing daily coronavirus situation reports, addressed to researchers, doctors, and the general public.
I mentioned that I am self-isolating, and was worrying about running out of supplies, but I couldn't think of anyone to ask for help: my local friends don't have cars, or also shouldn't be shopping right now.
(Signal boosting siderea here:)
Stop taking dextromethorphan now, it might make COVID-19 more dangerous.
As of yesterday, it is officially safe (in terms of COVID-19) for me to go out.
I spent Tuesday and Wednesday nights with
adrian_turtle: we had a good time, and were definitely more relaxed now than when we saw each other for the first time in three months.
My wrist is a lot better since I had the cortisone shot on Friday.
(apple: Evercrisp) I vaguely remembered these living up to their name, so bought some a few weeks ago and finally ate one last night.
I saw my eye doctor yesterday.
Yesterday I made a few get-out-the-vote call specifically for the Biden campaign, and some mostly nonpartisan get-out-the-vote text banking.
I did quite a bit today, several different things rather than one large one:
Overall, that's a lot of politics, and a lot of health/medical posts (including but not only Covid), which is a fairly accurate sample of 2020.
