An old LiveJournal tradition, the first sentence of my first post of each month this calendar year. Nothing terribly interesting here, for better or worse:


Looking back through this journal, the new foods for 2019 were two fruits: a persimmon and some camu-camu flavored soda.

That's "new" to me, not newly constructed: I walked over to the Beech Street Center and used the fitness room, for a little while: about five minutes on the cardio bike, three of the exercise machines, and did one of my PT exercises with seven-pound weights.

The World Health Organization is issuing daily coronavirus situation reports, addressed to researchers, doctors, and the general public.

I mentioned that I am self-isolating, and was worrying about running out of supplies, but I couldn't think of anyone to ask for help: my local friends don't have cars, or also shouldn't be shopping right now.

Stop taking dextromethorphan now, it might make COVID-19 more dangerous.

As of yesterday, it is officially safe (in terms of COVID-19) for me to go out.

I spent Tuesday and Wednesday nights with [personal profile] adrian_turtle: we had a good time, and were definitely more relaxed now than when we saw each other for the first time in three months.

My wrist is a lot better since I had the cortisone shot on Friday.

(apple: Evercrisp) I vaguely remembered these living up to their name, so bought some a few weeks ago and finally ate one last night.

I saw my eye doctor yesterday.

Yesterday I made a few get-out-the-vote call specifically for the Biden campaign, and some mostly nonpartisan get-out-the-vote text banking.

I did quite a bit today, several different things rather than one large one:

Overall, that's a lot of politics, and a lot of health/medical posts (including but not only Covid), which is a fairly accurate sample of 2020.
