I could go to Montreal for the weekend, or I can stay home.
The advantages of Montreal are, basically, that I get to see
rysmiel,
papersky, and
zorinth, possibly other cool people, and have a vacation feeling for a few days.
The disadvantages are the 8-hour train ride (each way), the cost of the train ticket, and that I wouldn't be seeing
cattitude for four or five days.
The train ride could be a chance to get a pile of Tiptree reading done. But books are heavy.
Thoughts, suggestions, and anything I haven't thought of welcome in comments.
If I go, I either leave tomorrow morning or Friday morning; Friday means spending almost as much time in transit as in Montreal. (A slight exaggeration, but somehow days seem more like real time.)
