I am worn out from Wiscon and the travel to and from, plus getting up early today for a doctor's appointment, so this is pretty sketchy:

Currently reading:

A Door Into Ocean, by Joan Slonczewski; picked it up at Wiscon and am both impressed and enjoying it. (The author, who was one of this year's guests of honor, used it as the hook to throw a party Sunday evening.)

I am also still reading Anasazi America and King of Morning, Queen of Day (see last week's post).

Recently read:

The Highest Frontier, by Joan Slonczweski. Good world-building but I didn't think the ending quite lived up to what came before.

Miss de Burgh in Bath, by "Swordswallower17", Pride and Prejudice fanfic; what it says on the tin, and I liked the heroine's slow blossoming better than her romance. (That probably says more about me than about the writer and text, though.)

The Odd Job, by Charlotte Macleod, reread of one of Macleod's light/screwball mystery novels, on the flight from Seattle to O'Hare.

I have no idea what I will read "next," after finishing at least some of what I am currently reading.
