I got a call from Ed McCullough, who we used to live down the hall from in Manhattan, that people have moved into our old apartment. (I let it go to voicemail this morning, and need to call back and thank him.)
This is relevant because it means the landlord cannot charge us June rent for the apartment. They didn't bill us for May, at least not by mail—their practice is to just put the bills under the apartment doors—and I am guessing they have decided to apply the security deposit to that as the simplest thing, but I also wouldn't put it past them to send a bill six weeks from now.
