I saw Emilie yesterday, almost certainly for our last session, though she offered to rearrange her schedule if I find time again before I go to Seattle. (Buying the session was a bit tricky, because the gym apparently is no longer selling single sessions. The training manager assured me and Emilie I could buy them individually through March, given the situation, and when I told the front desk person this, he put it through as at a higher nonmember rate, which I would mind less if I thought Emilie would get a share of the extra.)
I did a little cardio (Emilie arrived sooner than I'd expected) and then we did most of my usual stuff, though slightly out of order. I made a point of including all the balance platform/Nautilus machine things, along with the other balance stuff; we had enough time at the end that I went back and filled in hamstring bridges (which I'd skipped because I know them cold and can do them with the hardware I have at home, but they are useful).
Emilie also got someone to take a few photos of us together, and will be sending them to me. We may use Skype to chat/for me to ask advice about exercise, positions, etc. I'm going to miss her—this hit me on the way uptown more than while we were talking—and vice versa. Yes, I've been a steady client, which means me moving affects her income, but I think it's more than that: we're pretty simpatico, and I've made a lot of progress working with her, which is satisfying for us both.
I haven't decided whether to look for a gym and trainer in Bellevue, or just use the exercise room at my new apartment building, and maybe try adding a Pilates class. Most likely I'll work out solo for a bit and then see; given how strongly travel time correlates with actually going to the gym, one I don't even have to go outdoors for may have real advantages, even if there are fewer options than at an actual gym.
