You will not remember enough of those hypnogogic thoughts. Keep paper in reach next to the bed and write them down.

In this case, I remember thinking of a new LJ title or subtitle idea. I remember thinking that I wouldn't remember it and should write it down. I didn't, and I don't.

redbird: a bit of fractal (mandelbrot)
( Feb. 2nd, 2004 08:18 pm)
I went in to Creative Good to work on another mailing. This time featured various software annoyances—tomorrow we make another attempt to convince Microsoft Word to print the labels the way we want—as well as the discovery that 440 9-by-12 envelopes are heavy by the third block. They'll be heavier with the mailing in them, so I'm going to take them to the post office in two trips. (If Ann doesn't like that, she can carry them.)

The morning also featured cookies. Mark asked if I eat cookies, and I said something like "Yes, doesn't everybody?!" He unwrapped some homemade oatmeal cookies and explained that these were celebratory oatmeal cookies, because he and Allie had become engaged over the weekend. I said something appropriate, and listened, surprised, while he described the ring to Ann and Kat, who apparently care about such things enough to be interested not only in jewelry, but in hearing descriptions of jewelry.

By the end of the day, various bits of my arms and hands were aching, so I decided to do a workout focusing on upper-body stuff. I felt much better by the time I was done.
