I just got out of my third shower of the day, and am facing a somewhat impatient cat, who believes I should sit on the bed and give her a lap. (This is our custom, but done now would interfere with bed.)
The first was a normal morning shower. The second was an after-gym shower. The third was necessary because I and my clothes stank of cigarette smoke after a few hours at Rose's Turn. I'm not sure if it was smokier than usual, or something about what I was wearing or where I sat.
Despite the smoke, I had a fine time, hanging out with assorted costumed friends. I wasn't exactly costumed, but I had smeared purple glitter on my face, and was wearing a Flying Karamazov Brothers Stupid Hat. Which I hope will be reasonably smoke-free by morning.
roadnotes sang, and brought chocolate. We all sang along to the Beatles and "I Fought the Law" and other cool things. And then I headed home, tired and over-smoked.

And the glitter jar came open in my bag, so I have almost no sparkly stuff left, and everything in that compartment of my backpack is presumably now covered in purple sparkle.
Update: With patience and a spoon, I recovered much of the spilled glitter. I now have 2/3 of a jar of it, and have put the jar in a baggie because I don't trust the jar to stay sealed. I also have a backpack with a very shiny purple interior, and am not sure how to clean it. I wiped a book clean, rinsed my combination lock and my comb, and threw away three cheap pens and an assortment of outdated paper.
