On the way in, I reserved a space in the yoga class for Wednesday; I didn't need a reservation last week, but it can't hurt.

Then I did much of the usual: three sets of hip adduction (15 reps @ 100 pounds), two of ab- (15, then 14, @90 pounds) (someone else sat down on the abduction thing while I was doing my third adduction set). Twenty-five minutes of cardio, a good high heart rate (I'd set the timer for 30, but my right foot was feeling confined by the shoe, and anything over 20 is good, so I stopped). Managed three sets of 15 reps, at 45 pounds, on the bench press. If it keeps going well, maybe I can increase the weight before September. Leg curl, two sets at 60 pounds, the second was difficult enough that I [um, can't remember if I did a lighter set or just stopped]. Adjustable row, 3 sets of 15 @ 90 pounds--that's still difficult, but it's doable. Triceps, 2 sets of 70 with the metal handle, one of 45 with the rope.

Tried the seated leg press. Got through one set of 15 @ 160pounds (did the first rep at 180, and realized that was a bad idea, so took off one plate), and partway through the second realized that "stop being stupid", my knees are not expendable. So I did some stretching, then showered and went to Amy's Bread for a sandwich and a cup of tea.

This would have been my program participant schedule:

  • Saturda 11.50 A Blog Has Eaten My Fanzine (1.5 hrs)

  • Saturda 16.00 RASFF: The Room Party of Usenet (1.5 hrs)

  • Saturda 17.50 I'm Not Here with My Boyfriend (1.5 hrs)

  • Sunday 10.00 Fanzines vs. Online - What's Happening? (1.5 hrs)

  • Sunday 13.00 Blogology Recapitulates Mimeography (1.5 hrs)

First, I'm flattered to have been put on that many. Second, 90 minutes per item, plus the breaks between them? 75 minutes often feels like a lot, at Wiscon. Third, if I had it to do over, I'd probably have said no to the whole idea of 10 a.m. Sunday--nobody's going to be awake for that, probably including the panelists.

The planning aspects of this are moot, except that Kathryn Daugherty thanked me for letting her know I won't be there before the pocket program went to press. I have a buyer for my membership; no word from ConJose on what information they want on the transfer, or whether we can do it online. (That's not on the Web page, so I've emailed them.)

This is mostly a test of the Semagic client. [livejournal.com profile] cattitude and I are sitting here quietly, waiting for the laundry to be done, and hoping for rain and cool weather.

Oh, and what does "exanimate" mean?
