writing stuff

I'm working on one of the hinge points, where Mrs. Fish has reached her decision and the other aliens have to discuss it with her. Not sure what they decide, and what she does will be based on what Crescent says. At the instant, I think I need some outside event, either someone intruding or a medical problem (the alien equivalent of anything from a faint to a heart attack). Mutter mutter mutter, while cattitude paces with an O'Reilly reference book in hand.

I've set up a friends group for "discussion of writing." It's small, mostly people who also post about their writing process. If you want to be in it--or don't and think you may already be--let me know.

Count me in if you haven't.

I have really no idea how this stuff works. Would it make matters easier if I did writing posts separate from my long rambles about everything else?

Having this subgroup is a bit like using the cut tags for the gym stuff--I can think aloud and report progress or lack thereof and not worry that I'm boring most of the people who read this.

I decided to mark all my writing posts "thud" for two reasons, firstly that's what I call the wordcount file on my computer, (err, because it's dull... and I wanted something that sounded dull) and secondly if they all had the same title I could easily separate them out if I wanted to look at just them.
