I'm looking for restaurant suggestions for a celebratory dinner for two, probably in either Seattle or Bellevue. We need someplace transit-accessible, and ideally without a lot of stairs.

We like a variety of cuisines, but I can't eat anything that's spicy (in the pepper/capsicum sense: ginger, garlic, black pepper, and horseradish are still good), and [livejournal.com profile] cattitude can't eat mushrooms.

Duck would be nice.

My niece and her boyfriend, the culinary school mavens, chose RN74 for their celebratory dinner last weekend, and had basically excellent things to say about it. (And he has interned at Canlis, so he knows whereof he speaks.)

Wild Ginger has a terrific reputation.

Wild Ginger (http://www.wildginger.net/) in downtown Seattle is wonderful. I assume their Bellevue location is also good, but I have no personal experience of it. They've been able to feed me despite my numerous allergies, including making custom versions of some dishes that are normally made with things to which I'm allergic.

Their duck is yummy.

There's a lovely place just up from Pike Place market, on the corner, where I had delicious fish and Z had duck breast and wild rice, which I think was their lunch special.

Cantinetta (http://cantinettabellevue.com/) in Bellevue is wonderful. Italian with fresh Pacific Northwest ingredients. They'll take care of you. Great wine list. It's on Main street in the old downtown. Easy to get to.
