redbird: me with purple hair (purple)

I'm back on copyediting at work, which is pleasant. When I went to ask the editor the usual "is there anything I need to know about this one?" at the beginning of the copyedit, she told me the bits that are different about this particular project, and then took a few minutes to tell me how much she likes my work, and that she's stopped sending Simon explicit "she did well" after each in favor of having told him that whenever possible, she wants me as the copy editor and/or proofreader, because I'm good at that and really know my science.

When checking something at work leads me to think "My copy of Liddell Scott [1] is at home" I know I'm going beyond what's expected of me. It turns out, pleasantly but unsurprisingly, that Liddell Scott is now online, in searchable form, at the Perseus Project.

After work, I went to the gym. I had a good workout, still emphasizing lower body because my shoulder isn't entirely happy; the gym wasn't as crowded as on Monday. Then I met Andy for a sushi dinner, at a place on East 20th called Hamachi that we've been going to since he worked in that neighborhood. So I am full of good fish, and pleased with my mental and physical prowess.
