We had groceries delivered by Instacart yesterday, including two cucumbers and four bananas.

What turned up was two cucumbers and four loose bananas, plus a bag containing four bunches of bananas, a cabbage, and a head(?) of broccoli. We also got the wrong yogurt.

I checked the "report an issue" box on their web form. They are refunding the price of the yogurt, but ignored the part about the extra bag of produce. We left it on the porch overnight, just in case.

We kept a few extra bananas, and I texted a couple of neighbors about the bananas. Ariel responded, and is looking forward to making lots of banana bread. When I handed her the bag, we chatted a little, and she said that her partner had been making a shopping list and she told him not to buy bananas, because they were about to have plenty.

I'm hoping [personal profile] cattitude will make braised cabbage with caraway seeds in the next couple of days, and we might use the broccoli.
We just got another grocery delivery, which is a very good thing, with both necessities like milk, and some things we could do without, like a chocolate bar with orange peel.

One of the "could do without" items is a mini lemon tart, which we ordered, the receipt says we paid for and received, but it wasn't in the bags the shopper dropped off. The weird thing is that I have ordered this twice, and it vanished both times. Last time, the shopper allegedly replaced it with a different lemon dessert, which we didn't receive.

I am not going to make another attempt to order the lemon tart from Wegman's through Instacart, something Weird might happen. I hope whoever handles Wegman's customer service doesn't look at my complaint and think "she must be running some kind of scam."
