I skipped the gym yesterday because my right shoulder started hurting in the early morning. It did the same thing today, but not as badly, and with timing that suggested that the trigger was stress, writing by hand, or possibly a combination of the two. When I proofread at this company, I'm supposed to initial every page. With something like checking PDFs (late-stage proofs) or third-grade math, that means writing "VR" over and over, with not much time between. Fortunately, I spent most of today on copyediting. Not very interesting copyediting, but copyediting, so keyboard and (left-handed, as always) mouse work.

So I went to the gym, for reasons including mood, and did a workout that barely used the shoulder.

Cardio, 17 minutes plus one minute cooldown, top heart rate 151.
Part of not stressing the shoulder was that I didn't want to carry heavy weight plates, so I used the TechnoGym legpress machine (cables and resistance, just set a pin) instead of my usual: 240 pounds, 3 sets of 15
Slanted calf raise, 70 pounds, 3 sets of 15

Crunches, 3 sets of 30
Back arches, 3 sets of 17
Tree, 5 sets of {3 on each leg}

Balance lateral raise, 2.5 pounds each hand, 2 sets of 15, walking in place during the second
Hip adduction, 90 pounds, 2 sets of 12
Glute machine, 37.5 pounds, 15 with each leg

Stretches

So, lower-body muscle stuff, plus core and balance.
