I've lost a friend: wilfulcait had been fighting cancer, and posting about that as well as other parts of her life. From what I've read, she died peacefully and at home, which is not the best outcome but far from the worst.

We hadn't met offline, and we weren't especially close, but it is a loss.

I did not realize you knew her. I had not had the honor of meeting her but a lot of my DC friends were close to her and hold her in very high regard and are also having a tough day today.
