I've filled out a program participation/interest form.
There were whole areas I skipped: programming aimed at people who are selling fiction, or trying to (including business-of-writing), and discussions of movies and television. Predictably, there are more panels that Isaid would like to attend than that I offered to be on.
Most cons don't have the "would you attend this?" question, as far as I know, but it makes sense if they've still got more program suggestions than space. Or if they're concerned about having something that is very exciting to six people, five of whom will be on the panel. It's probably also useful for figuring out which panels go in which rooms.
