It was gray (though not actually raining) today, but I went for a walk in the park because going outside during the day is good for me, and walking is good exercise. (I also threw in a few stretches while I was out.)
There are still violets, I counted half a dozen (fewer than over the weekend), and some late dayflowers. Weirder, there's still jewelweed: five open blossoms and some buds, on at least four different plants, all in one area. Less purple clover, but not quite gone yet.
The dandelions are doing well, bright and yellow. I saw insects (either bees or odd striped flies) on three dandelions, all in the same area under a regrowing (storm-damaged) willow.
I think some chickadees have come in for the winter, but it's hard to do bird identification in that sort of diffuse gray light, from below. My first thought was kinglets, but their behavior and calls suggested chickadees.
I just took the last dose of my antibiotic for the bronchitis. Still a bit of occasional coughing, but not bad enough for cough syrup in the last couple of days, nor the deep and painful chest cough. But I'm still bringing up a little phlegm, evidence that I'm not entirely recovered.
I've been sleeping better the last few weeks, mostly with chemical aid (and keeping a log that I have no intention of boring everyone with). I did without either valerian or the cough syrup last night, and then lay awake at the beginning of the night long enough that I thought about getting up and taking a valerian capsule. I did without, fell asleep, and stayed asleep until a little after eight. Part of why I started taking the valerian was to stay asleep rather than waking at 4, or 5, or 6, so it's good to know I don't necessarily need it for that.

Re: seasons
There are rose varieties that will bloom into December around here, but I gather that yours aren't supposed to be doing that.
