rysmiel that as of Schenectady it was about 90 minutes late.
We hung out, and visited the Biodome and the Jardin Botanique, and had lots of sushi, and one short power outage. But we knew what caused it—a lightning storm, which also broke a heat wave—so we didn't worry much at the time, or at all once the power came back.

I'll also blame the heat for your having used "the country" as though you and Montreal--or I at home, and Montreal--are in the same country.

That particular route concerns me now, and that is a shame because although it is long, it is also a sensible and very pleasant way to travel. Glad you made it home safely.
