The latest spam email had the subject line "imagine if you had a PhD" and I thought that I'd have spent a long time learning a whole lot about something, but I didn't know what. (If I'd known what 20 years ago, I might have gone to graduate school: but I didn't see myself diving that deeply into history, my undergraduate major.)

Yes, I keep getting spams offering me a degree with no studying. And I think, well what's the point of that? Learning is the fun bit of getting a degree!
