The problem with two of my sweeties living in other cities is that when I want to rush over and take care of one of them--or when one of them wants to comfort me--it's often impractical. If
adrian_turtle were an hour away by subway, instead of five or six by subway to intercity bus (or train) to subway to bus, I'd still spend most of my nights here at home with
cattitude, but it would be much easier to manage an hour or an evening when it would help.
There are other disadvantages--I can't have Q stop by to try a batch of lemon ice cream, for example--but this is what occurs to me this week.
Nonetheless, I am very glad to have them in my life, and be part of their lives.
