I was in the happy position of having my hair done in a Latina/Korean salon in Westchester county, in January. It really was a treat-- made me think more positively about Getting Hair Done (which I'd never done before).
There was an Interested, Excited moment when I spoke a little of my tiny amount of Korean right at the end. Not nervous, but pleased. It made me wish I had enough Korean to do anything like a decent conversation....
