Always Look on the Bright Side

Since I'm working from home, when I finished at 6, I could go into the kitchen and start melting butter and chopping things, and now there are apple cakelings in the oven. (This is also an opportunity to actually open the kitchen window a bit, for fresh air, without being too cold.)

This doesn't make up for not being able to restock on my favorite tea, nor for all the larger hassles other people are dealing with, but it's something. If the TWU is still on strike tomorrow, I may try banana bread, since we have what are looking like overripe bananas, and a loaf pan.

If I think of anything, I will, and thank you--the shop that carries this particular tea is in the West Village, however.
