Happy solstice!
For those of us in the north, our days will be getting longer, though not warmer yet.
To my friends in the south, enjoy your longest day!
Anyone reading this near the equator, well, the rest of the planet isn't so balanced.

Since the sun sets here at close to 3:00 pm in the winter, the winter solstice is one of my favorite days.

In my book, the return of light is one of the best things ever worth celebrating!
Happy solstice to you, too.

Thank you, and the same to you too!
Here in Lancaster, UK, it's 3.30pm, and I can see the sun just disappearing over the horizon. Nice to think it will be later tomorrow.
