job status

Edie told me this morning that she'll be out of the office the week of the 26th, meaning there won't be work for me on this project. We agreed that she'll ask around and see if anyone else needs help the 27th and 28th (Boxing Day is the Christmas day off this year, and I'm going to Montreal on the 29th).

After that, I'm done, at least on this project: there's not enough happening on it to justify her keeping me here beyond that. I'll need to call Cindy (HR person) in January to set up an interview for longer-term stuff.

In the meantime, I need to update my resume.

I heard on the news this morning that there may be a transit workers strike in NYC - how would that affect you?

If there's a strike tomorrow morning, my boss has told me not to come in: I could do complicated rail things, involving about an extra mile and a half walk each way, but she has no way to get in, and my job is basically to do all sorts of things as her assistant.
