For the umpteenth time, someone asked a group to describe "your ideal poly relationship(s)," by which they meant how many people, patterns of interrelations, housing situations, that sort of thing.

This time, I answered. My ideal situation would be to have the beloveds I have now, and for them to have their other loves and friends--with perfect health for all of us, and teleportation.

I don't have a specific relationship structure I was looking for, or specific "kinds" of people, except to the extent that there are personality traits I want in friends, and thus in partners. I have people I have been lucky enough to get to know, who I love and who love me, and who are part of my life.

As the ex-physicist around here, I have been assigned to work on the teleporter for all of us.

Does this mean someone else does the laundry? It does not.

There are three ex-physicists in our family - and one is now a cosmologist - but do we have working teleportation? I expect you can guess the answer - and how much dirty laundry there always seems to be ... :-)

Yes. A spare room for adrian_turtle that we could fold up between times so it doesn't get full of clutter and bouncing cats would be nice.

Then again, a spare room for guests, without the tesseract aspects, would be nice.

i am playing everything by ear. i have no goal, no picture in my head of where i am going and when i will be there--as things come up, i say yea or nay based on what i think it will demand of me vs. what i think i have to offer.

teleportation would help a hell of a lot.
