Not my self-image

When I spoke to my mother this afternoon, we were talking about finding time for getting out and doing cool things around work and other obligations. She told me that I have a lot of discipline, and she doesn't know where I got it (because she doesn't consider herself to be disciplined).

I don't think of myself as especially disciplined--and some of this may be that things look different from across an ocean. I don't post about missing the gym, or letting housework pile up, or the half-finished books lying around. (Well, I left livredor a comment about one of those, but that's not a half-finished book so much as one walked away from, and she mentioned it first.)
