We took the battery from cattitude's old cell phone, put it in my cell phone (identical model), and it's working fine. Cattitude was surprised--he'd given up that phone because the battery ran down annoyingly fast, and thought that the problem with mine, post-spill, was probably with the phone itself, not the battery.

Also, since adrian_turtle dropped me a note about this, while I do have a few numbers programmed into my cell phone, they're all--along with quite a few others--stored in my PDA.

If the battery is the problem, and the one from cattitude's phone still keeps running down too fast, you might want to look to see if there are replacement batteries available for that model.

(Reminds me that I probably should recharge my cell soon.)
