Beads

My September Beads of the Month package (lampwork) came today. Perhaps inevitably, the one I like best, a clear bead with just a bit of pure green, is a singleton, and I tend to wear my earrings matched.

I want to start doing things with the beads and related material I'm collecting.

Oooh. Bead of the month package? Where did you find that? It sounds interesting.

Also, what ideas do you have in mind for your beads? I do a fair bit of beading and may have ideas if you are interested.

The Bead of the Month Club is a project of elisem's.

I'm not sure what I want to do with the beads; maybe earrings of some sort. I'm not looking for suggestions just now, but thanks for offering.

I pretty much stick to necklaces for singletons. (Bracelets would work, but I don't wear them much.) I also like elisem's idea of writers' tokens and may try something like that. one reason is that it would enable me to make things for people who don't wear much jewelry but do write, like my brother. I used to wear single earrings on occasion, but it feels very 80's to me now. (Which means the kids will begin doing it any second now, I suppose.)

I hadn't been beading much lately, but the BotMo club has galvanized me to do a bit more. Come to think of it, I ought to send elisem pictures.
