[livejournal.com profile] cattitude found a mouse tail on the bedroom floor this morning--and tells me that [livejournal.com profile] julian_tiger was knocking random small objects around in that corner last night, which adds up to fierce hunter. I'm hoping that either there's a tailless mouse somewhere in the building, or that Julian, contrary to his usual habits, actually ate the rest of the mouse (he likes his food cut into little bits), but I think we need to get under the bed with a broom this evening and make sure he hasn't left the rest of the mouse there.

I sympathize with the fractional rodent problem. Oh, believe me, I do.

Mouse parts

I had a cat that would leave as a present for me in the morning, a line of mouse innards on the doorstaep. It would start with the nose with whiskers still attached and all the guts to the tail. Somehow she stripped everything else off including the skull. I have no idea how she did it, but stepping on that as you went out to get the mroning papaer was not a treat!
