My beloved cattitude pointed out that the coelacanth icon I had uploaded earlier--which had the advantage of having been found at that size in an image search--was unrecognizable as such. Hence, I have replaced it with this image.

If I go through with the coelacanth tattoo idea, I may need a color printer, so I can put together some images to take my tattoo artist as a starting point.

I do have it - not immediately to hand this instant, but IIRC that looks much more monkfish/angler fish than coelacanth.

Yup. This one is more clear. Here in Chicago, we have a preserved coelacanth on display at the Field Museum. Big suckers.

That is a very cool coelacanth indeed. It isn't blue, but it's much clearer than the old one. Yay.
