I have an appointment with a physical therapist on the 19th--the day after I get back from Montreal. Since the PT is three blocks from me, I happily took a 9 a.m. appointment.

I've also done the exercises the orthopedist gave me: just a quick runthrough, each of three exercises twice. They feel a little odd, but not difficult (though one requires a wall, and another a doorway). The paper they gave me with these doesn't say how often or how many to do, but the exercises on the other side of the page say to repeat 5 to ten times, so I may try that in a bit.

I've never injured a shoulder, but in my experience with other injuries and general body problems, you're encouraged to do the exercises as often as you'd like a day. You're not supposed to exceed the limit they give you, so don't do more than 10, but if you want to do them every four hours or so and you don't feel like it's too much, you should be fine.
