Gosh--you have nine different coins in circulation. There must be a couple that I missed--what are they?

1,2,5,10,20,50,£1,£2,£5 - nope, that's nine coins!

And yes, I've asked in the bank for £5 coins in change and received them, and even seen them used in shops (very very rarely) but all the other coins are in totally normal circulation (the one pound coins come with at least 8 different back patterns, the £2 coins with at least four, the 50p with at least three and the five pound coins are issued as specials so there's usually a new one every year or two)

Thanks. I'd forgotten about the 2 pence and didn't know there was a £5 coin.

Rather confusing to us tourists--I rarely paid with coins during my short visits to the UK because it took me so long to figure out what was what. So I ended up with a very heavy purse.
