I had another delightful weekend visiting [livejournal.com profile] adrian_turtle. Insufficiently restful, alas: for no reason I can identify, having slept very well Friday night, and quite well Saturday when we finally got to bed, I tossed and turned much of last night. I actually napped this afternoon, after getting home in the rain and taking a quick bath to warm up.

Adrian is delightful and snuggly company, maybe even more so than I already noted (getting to know people better improves the relationship, if they're the right people for me). As a bonus, she not only can cook, she is happy to have me cook in her kitchen: I made blueberry pancakes for lunch yesterday, and she roasted a duck for dinner last night, which I carved (including carving the rest of the duck for her lunch over the next few days), and baked mushrooms in some of the duck fat.

Next trip, I'm taking [livejournal.com profile] cattitude with me.

Sounds excellent! And yes, most relationships improve over time, given the ingredients for the right relationship.

It's really nice to see happy posts on my friends list! And especially relationship-happy posts, I think. I'm most pleased to know you're in such a good situation, yay.

Yay, you. And the idea of happy relationships among foodies/cooks is um, tasty.

Maybe you, me, adrian_turtle, cattitude, and my Evil Twin can get together one of these visits... no guilt trip implied. Visits should be *fun*, not scheduling nightmares. But do keep it in mind. I'm happy to contribute to a potluck... ;-}
