Not only is it sunny and 14°C (that's upper 50s in Fahrenheit), but there are crocuses in bloom. The patch of pale purple crocuses in the park, seen in this userpic, is blooming, as are some yellow crocuses next to a nearby building.
I would also like to note that mud with a thin layer of water on it has an albedo almost as high as that of snow, and that the runoff in the park is flowing smoothly and not forming too many puddles, in part because I cleared a drain yesterday.

There are crocuses in my yard, and looking out my office window at the garden, I can tell that the forsythia is having definite spring-like aspirations.

The cherry trees are in bloom, as are the pear tree next door and several of the flowering plum trees in the neighbourhood. The rhododendrons are beginning to bloom as well, about a month ahead of when they typically would. Yesterday's amble through the ravine and down to the beach was especially nice. Unfortunately, allergy season has also started early.
