There are languages where a statement includes--must include, in the way that an English sentence must have a verb--an explanation of how the speaker knows something. Examples would be "I saw this" or "my friend told me".
ozarque mentioned that some native speakers of those languages prefer English for business because it doesn't have those grammatical markers/requirements. They like the ambiguity.
