Sending myself email is an odd substitute for writing in my paper journal, but it's easier on my hands, and easier to read later.

I've done that fairly often if I'm somewhere. It beats writing it down and typing it in again. I emailed myself the last chapter of The Prize in the Game if it comes to that.
