I miss my personal sleep assistant/advisor.

[livejournal.com profile] julian_tiger is a fine young bouncy cat--whose latest food discovery is half sour pickles--but, unlike Artemis, he doesn't point out to me when I need to go to bed. Yes, I have a clock. A cat is more convincing.

Ah, yes. Our late, lamented Severian (whose picture graces [livejournal.com profile] calimac's LJ) used to meow at me when it was time for me to go to bed. When I had class or choir practice, he would wait on the living room window sill, watching for me to return. Sometimes Pippin takes up the place on the window sill now, but he's still too shy to tell me to go to bed. And Pandora is the cat who sleeps with me anyway. Pippin sometimes sleeps on the floor next to Calimac's side of the bed.

If only I didn't ignore my Lenore clock, every single night...
